Imaging on FPC is Slower than on Delphi
« on: 30 July 2008, 16:14:39 »
like 15% slower
test: 33 times (loading a TGA, BMP, PNG (all 8 bpp RGBA saved with imaging) to a GLtexture)
timed with functions of imagingutils

delphi7 and FPC 2.2.2RC2

fpc is equal or faster on all my applications, i'm curious why its slower on imaging

Well, it depends on application. Some basic operations are faster in Delphi and some in FPC.
FPC is still slower in most of my applications but it is improving.
